Hi Incurable travelers
We took advantage of this long bridge in April to give us the first trip with our baby and braving the weather went to Villa Giada Resort in Liguria.
We always overlooked this region because they don’t close for the weekend and roads often busy, but after staying there we realized that it’s worth suffering some slowdown on the highway to enjoy the colors and landscapes, which restricts visitors.
We left in the morning towards Imperia and along the way we had planned a stop at the outlet of Serravalle to dine and to allow our son a moment of outburst, choosing the location was dictated by its proximity to the motorway and the indoor play space equipped and therefore usable even in bad weather.
Mama liked very much enjoy an hour of shopping comfortable and then get back on bike direction Villa Giada Resort, in Imperia, a village of small houses arranged on terraces at different levels with different types of accommodation to suit all needs.
Our very large apartment, two bedrooms and spacious living area equipped with every comfort (kettle and microwave) to manage the needs of our nanny still milk employee, made us feel at home, also because of the wonderful colored vase buttercups that graced the dining table.
From the small home garden you can see the blue of the sea and enjoy the view of facing the promontory of Porto Maurizio and Val Prino, on which stands the Church of Hillocks surrounded by silver olive trees.
Villa Giada Resort ensures not only new and comfortable apartments, but allows you to think your stay according to your needs, we have used the formula half board, which includes not only linen and final cleaning included (not daily) but also a rich buffet breakfast and dinner in the restaurant “A Cassa Garba” of course you can choose to enjoy breakfast or even to prepare meals independently and maybe when you’re tired, get a pizza or ready meals from the restaurant which offers take away service!
The restaurant has an indoor environment very well looked after with attentive to the needs of even the smallest and very helpful, but mostly we tasted typical Ligurian dishes, such as pasta al pesto, become the favorite dish of our son, and seafood entrees, simple but really tasty.
Since our family has expanded, we are very careful to choose facilities that are family friendly and we provide both basic things like camping bed and highchair that adequate space for fun and insecurity, in this case knew the Villa Giada resort could choose to take him in the small playground or enjoy a dip in the pool and view the season not yet hot opting for the smaller of the two that is heated. Being still small we could not play a round of mini golf or let him play in soccer field.
Activities that are offered at villa Giada resort are varied from the day relaxing by the pool or on the beach in Borgo Prino, reachable in summer with the free shuttle bus, to a culinary workshop to learn the secrets of pesto in order not to forget the beautiful bike paths.
Villa Giada resort offers various types of bike, electric, and also offers several experiential packages to experience riding two-wheeled riding in west coast of Liguria calibrated to experts, amateurs or families with children.
We spent five wonderful days for children to discover the coast from Imperia leads to Nice with an essential visit to the Aquarium of Genoa, but let me tell you about this in future articles.
