Hi incurable Travelers,
The journey between Sintra and Capo da Roca takes about twenty minutes, coming into small towns and along narrow streets and making many stops.
Our traveling companions as well as tourists like us are the children get home from school, the ladies who have gone to town to go shopping.
Finally, before our eyes see the red roof of the lighthouse which dominates over the high cliffs.
The wind always blows stronger at this point and sweeps the green meadows on which grow the low planting yellow flowers.
In few meters along the cliff you will come to a sort of terrace where is proudly displayed a modern stele reminds us to be, in the most westerly point of mainland Europe, attention is not the place to the west of Europe that instead is Bjargtangar in Iceland.
We love the Capo da Roca, although there were many tourists, nature rules with the sound of waves crashing on the rocks, the smell of the ocean, the wind caressing your face; the feeling that we take home is complete freedom and peace.
For souvenir lovers remind you that you can be issued with a certificate of reasonable fee that certifies your visit, you can imagine that we left this pleasure to the Japanese tourists with us split these moments at Capo da Roca.
By now the afternoon was beginning to turn towards the end and we had to take the bus to Cascais, seaside town and place where we would find the train back to Lisbon.
Our initial intention was to take a walk in Cascais, have dinner and then go back to town, but we changed our plans because I have to say that it did not love this town.
The impression that we have had is at a location of strong tourist vocation and a little feature, but let’s give it the benefit of doubt. Maybe we were tired or dusk lights do not do it justice.
Certainly deserved a visit to Boca do Inferno, a rift which is on the coast on the outskirts of town, feature because when the sea is rough, the water entering the crevices of the cliff and thwarted strongly on the rocky walls creates an evocative sound hoarse, similar to a human groan.
By now the sun had set, and we began to feel a little bit tired and we decided to take the train to Lisbon.
The path has made us arrive in the city in the Cais do Sodre station and allowed us to see the window, the silhouette and the bright lights of Belem, but I speak in the article: Two incurable travelers in Belem while the beginning of the story of our trip to Lisbon, you can find it in the article: Two incurable travelers in Lisbon.
